It is a research seedbed of the research group on demography, public health, and health systems of the Department of Public Health at the Industrial University of Santander (UIS). It was created in February 2025 and is made up of professors and students from the Faculty of Health interested in environment and health topics.
The SAMBISOC seedbed developed in 2025 the Series of Talks on Environment, Health, and Society with the aim of
"Develop conversational spaces with guests from academia, government, and the community to discuss environmental health issues that positively or negatively affect our society, making these dialogue spaces participatory for the city."
